The Galaxy

Galaxy Awaits: Rise of an Empire takes place in the Star Wars canon universe five years before the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story and 5 years after Chancellor Palpatine and Darth Vader ended the Clone Wars and founded the Galactic Empire, as portrayed in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

The end of the Clone Wars ushered in a new era for the galaxy. An era of oppression and strife under the hard rule of the Empire led by the Emperor and his apprentice, Darth Vader. Sweeping across the galaxy, Stormtrooper armies cinch control of system after system, forcing worlds to join the Empire or be enslaved by them. For many, it is one in the same.

The hardest hit was the Jedi Order that was dealt a fatal blow at the hands of Darth Vader when he destroyed their temple on Coruscant. The Emperor activated Order 66 and the once loyal Clonetroopers slaughtered many unsuspecting Jedi right there on the battlefield. The surviving Jedi fled into hiding and scattered to the wind.

Species

The galaxy is home to a vast array of peoples. A character's species may determine where they are from, what they may look like, and how they live within the galaxy. All characters must choose a Species.

Alien

An alien is a humanocentric biological - and sometimes political - term to describe a sentient species other than a Human. It is often used interchangeably with the term Non-Human. The term may have been derived from the first impression of early Humans when they had their first contacts with species from other planets. However, it seems to have remained prevalent, even in subsequent millennia.

Each Alien has an ability represented by a Skill or Technique found the Rule Book.

If an Alien you are looking for is not on the approved list below, than the species cannot be played. Each and every sentient Alien listed on the Star Wars wiki has been examined by Staff.

Droid

Droids, short for androids, are mechanical beings often possessing artificial intelligence. They are used in a variety of roles and environments, often those considered too menial or too dangerous for humans and other species. Droids are also used in fields that require extensive specialization and knowledge, such as medical droids, astromech droids, and battle droids.

Due to costume limitations, only humanoid droids can be played.

Force Ghost

A Force Ghost is the spirit of a Force-user who learned the Force Ghost Technique before they died. Both Dark and Light side Force-users can become a Ghost, yet do so for different reasons. Light Side spirits tend to act as mentors to the future generations. Many tend to assist their living children and grandchildren who have shown abilities in the Force. Dark Side spirits are manifestations of their hate and anger fueled hotter by their death. In an attempt to cheat death, Dark spirits always seeks for a way to return to the living and exist as they did in life. Dark spirits can teach the ways of the Force if they wish or are otherwise coerced.

Human & Near-Human

Humans are the galaxy's most numerous and politically dominant sentient species with millions of major and minor colonies galaxy-wide. Believed to have originated on the galactic capital of Coruscant, humans can be found anywhere engaged in many different pursuits: spacers, mercenaries, smugglers, merchants, soldiers, assassins, farmers, crime lords, laborers, slaves, slavers, and many others, including Jedi and Sith.

Near-Humans is a term for a variety of Humans that possess no ability, though some are known to have minor physical abilities such as breathing underwater. Near-Humans often don't look like a normal Human, thus make-up and costume requirements apply.

If a Near-Human you are looking for is not on the approved list below, than the species cannot be played. Each and every sentient Near-Human listed on the Star Wars wiki has been examined by Staff.
