Volunteering to NPC is a great way to earn rewards for you and your Character!

NPC stands for Non-Player Character, a common gaming term for temporary Staff-created characters designed to further the Staff-run plot and story.

Spend the entire weekend playing a variety of Staff-created characters (NPC). Goals, items, weapons, costume, and character stats are all provided by Staff for that NPC. This is a great way to work with Staff and learn the game!

Story Staff, called Mission Control, hosts virtual meetings with Full Time NPC volunteers before events to prepare everyone for the weekend.

Please wear plain, all black clothing, and bring your own sleeping gear. A bunk space will be provided.

NOTE that Full Time NPC is a physical activity where you will be standing, walking, and engaging in combat as well as less active role-play.

At any time during an event, you may take a break from playing your Character to spend a short time playing a variety of Staff-created characters (NPC). Goals, items, weapons, costume, and character stats are all provided by Staff for that NPC. Please inform Mission Control if you prefer combat or role-play only NPCs.

Travel to the Mission Control cabins where you can change out of your Character costume, and choose from:

• Walk-In NPCs - head to the MC cabin any time and pick an NPC card from the Walk-In NPC box. Change your costume and go!
• Port Authority Mission - listed on the Holonet under Missions, these timeslots are designed to coordinate a group of NPCs to go out at the same time.
