Techniques often work in concert with a Skill or an Item for additional abilities.
Use the Method to ‘apply’ a Consumable that grants a Status Effect and attach the Consumable Tag to your weapon. The next strike with the weapon will inflict the Status Effect plus the weapon’s Damage requiring a Sig Call. Ex: “Status pain 1”. Destroy the Consumable Tag after the use.
Used to place an Effect on an item. Say the Sig Call and pretend to apply the contents for at least 3 seconds then attach the Tag on the item.
Your character has studied body language enough to know if a character resisted an Effect. Thus when you hear the Resist Sig Call, you can take that information In-Game as your character’s knowledge.
You can use the Disarm Effect. Use the Method, spend 1 FP, and say the Sig Call.
You may fight with any two weapons, one in each hand, at the same time so long as you have the Skill(s) for those weapon(s). This Technique is needed to fight with a Brawling Fist Weapon and another type of weapon at the same time.
Spend 1 FP to increase the Damage of a single strike by 2. Say the Sig Call where X is the new damage amount. The damage increase can be added to Strength Enhancement and Eye of the Sun, but no single strike can be more than 5.
You can use the Paralyze Effect. Use the Method, spend 1 FP, and say the Sig Call.
Duration: 60 seconds
Signature Call: “Status, paralyze”
Say the Sig Call to prevent the recipient character from moving. They can speak and use effects that do not require movement. You cannot use this on yourself.
You can use the Shatter Effect by touching the item with your weapon for 10 seconds, spending 1 FP, and saying the Sig Call.
Duration: hold item for 10 seconds, Instant
Signature Call: “Status, shatter”
Say the Sig Call to touch or hold a Tagged item for at least 10 seconds. Then remove the Tag from its prop and destroy the Tag. The prop is now just a prop with no effect.
Prerequisite Skill: Medic
When using the Medic Skill, healing a patient takes only 15 seconds instead of 30. Additionally, if you use a Cure Health Effect, 10 HP is restored instead of 5.
Cosmetics - Alter the appearance of another Alien or Human character. Alterations can be subtle or dramatic, such as removing horns or looking like another Species entirely. The patient can be willing or unwilling, conscious or not. Administer a Conergin and mime operating on the patient for 60 seconds to ‘alter’ the body part in question. Then administer Bacta Nanites. Work with the Player to represent the feature with realistic makeup/mask/costuming. Only one feature can be changed per use: hair/tendrils, ears, horns, skin color, skull shape, hands, wings, and tail. You cannot use this on yourself.
Signature Call: “Cure health 2”
Restore 2 Health Points for the recipient character. You cannot use this on yourself, unless via a Consumable.
Sig Call: “Warrior’s Stance”
Spend 1 FP and say the Sig Call as you plant one foot to the ground to become immune to Damage attacks. You can otherwise attack and defend as normal. After 5 minutes or you move your foot, whichever comes first, your HP drops to zero and you are Seriously Injured.
Prerequisite Skill: Cyberneticist, Manufacturer, or Scientist
Wholesaler reduces the cost of Augment, Consumable, and Equipment items by half rounded down. The discount is reflected in the online Item Store.
You can use the Resist Mental Effect. Use the Method, spend 1 FP, and say the Sig Call.
Signature Call: “Resist”
Say the Sig Call and ignore the last attack that struck you accompanied by a Sig Call beginning with either “Mental” or “Scan”, including any accompanying damage (ex: “Mental daze 2”).
The Alchaka meditations are a rigorous series of highly personal, highly repetitive exercises using both physical and Force skills to focus the mind and attune the body to the strength of the Force. Consisting of a number of repetitions, completing the meditations correctly typically leaves the practitioner on the brink of exhaustion.
Gain 2 Force Points per 100 credits dropped into the Obelisk instead of 1. You are highly encouraged to role-play the Alchaka meditations using any form of exercise you wish while being conscious of the safety of those around you.
This does not grant the use of Equipment that require a Skill to use, but when you use Equipment that normally calls for an Energy Cell, you can channel the Force spending 1 FP per use instead of the Energy Cell. Droids can buy this Technique to represent the use of their own energy to power Equipment.
You can combine the Force and objects to create Force Relics. Visit the online Item Store where you can buy 1 Relic Tag of your choice per event at a cost of 1,500 Credits. The first Relic is free when you buy this Technique. The Relic must be purchased by the deadline to get the Tag for that event. Relic descriptions.
When your character dies, you can continue to play the character as a Force Ghost anytime beginning the next event, not during the same event. In between events, update your character online to ‘Force Ghost’ to change the information per Force Ghosts in Species.
Using a Mental or Status Effect via a Skill or Technique, you inflict that Effect through a media device on a single target character. You must be speaking live with the target via a phone call, walkie talkie, or video chat. State the target’s character name, then the Sig Call of the Effect. The Focus Skill cannot be used in this manner.
Using the Force to channel some of your knowledge, you can create Holocrons (described in Relics). Visit the online Item Store where you can buy 1 Holocron Tag per event at a cost of 1,500 Credits. The first Holocron is free when you buy this Technique. The Item Store will ask you to select one Force Skill from your character’s Skills. Write at least two sentences of one memory that your character would have and store it inside the Holocron prop.
Using a Mental or Status Effect via a Skill or Technique, you inflict that Effect via a strike with your Lightsaber. Spend 1 FP to activate the Effect as normal, and say the Sig Call adding the Lightsaber’s damage. Ex: “Status pain 3”.
Holding a Lightsaber in one hand, ignore the last attack from a projectile weapon as per Resist Damage saying “Reflect” instead of Resist, where X is the attack’s Damage. Reflect ‘sends’ the Damage back to the opponent. Reflected damage can be resisted, but not reflected again.
Signature Call: “Resist”
Say the Sig Call and ignore the last attack that struck you accompanied either by silence (i.e. a weapon strike) or a Sig Call beginning with a number (ex: “2”), including any accompanying Effect (ex: “4 Fire”).
Prerequisite Skill: Focus
When using the Focus Skill, you may use a second Force Skill on a second opponent and implement the Focus Skill for the second Force Skill as well.
