The game takes place here and is represented by the campsite used for weekend events.
Corox Station is a small town situated next to a blue freshwater lake and surrounded by thick green forests. The town proper consists of a cantina, a cyberlab, a hostel, an Imperial Outpost, twelve homes, and an obelisk. The rural outskirts are populated by farmers settled in an otherwise untamed wilderness.
Since Selvaris is a no-fly zone except in major cities with spaceports, like Caru City, visitors land their ships in Caru, then take public transport to their destination.
To get to Corox Station from Caru, visitors take a hoverbus to a stop just outside of town [[ OOG: the entrance to Millersylvania ]], then walk the rest of the way [[ OOG: down the paved road into the Retreat Center ]]. Though the trip is only two hours, the Corox Line Hoverbus does not operate on Saturdays [[ OOG: your Character can't visit another planet and come back during an event ]].
Corox Station does not allow ANY vehicles anymore. When it did, speeders and hovercars would park in a designated area next to the cantina. However, that area has since been graveled over and remains unused [[ OOG: explains the OOG parking lot and to ignore our cars during an event ]].
A City Council of three politicians are voted for by town residents during annual elections taking place in February each year.
Various Mandalorian clans have called Corox Station their home since its founding, and still do to this day.
The small, out-of-the-way community attracts those seeking a quiet life, hidden away from the hustle of the galaxy. Rumors persist of fugitives hiding on planet Selvaris, specifically in small towns like Corox Station since these less-travelled localles offer perfect cover.
In 5 AFE, the Empire assigned a small battalion and an Inquisitor to establish an Imperial Outpost in Corox Station and investigate the rumors of Jedi hiding there.
Founded in 86 BFE as a future spaceport, Corox Station quickly grew into a popular bustling trade and resort town.
During the Anti-Tech Movement that started in 82 BFE, Corox Station fell on hard times when the more extreme environmental politicians gained power, as the town was not one of the few allowed to maintain their own landing facility or major transportation hub. As a result of these new restrictions the town shrunk quickly, losing much of their normal revenue, and many people moved to the larger cities that still had such luxuries.
During the years before and during the Clone Wars and the local Faux Troubles, Corox Station had a slight resurgence, as it became a destination for those seeking to get farther away from the trappings of civilization, or the more watchful security forces of the larger cities. Hunters, wilderness enthusiasts, scientists conducting experiments on the flora and fauna, and those on the fringes of society began to travel to Corox Station, and to other similar communities on Selvaris, leading to a stabilization of their economies, mostly around tourism and escapism, with a small smattering of local events drawing interest as well.
Corox Station is governed by a City Council consisting of a Mayor, Judge, and Sheriff.
Elections for City Council are held every February.
