Everyone attending GALAXY AWAITS must have a Character submitted online and approved by Staff.
Your Character must be UNIQUE and ORIGINAL, NOT a copy/cosplay of a Star Wars character. You are creating a Character of your design within the guidelines, rules, and available choices.
Your Character cannot be related to, or associated with, a Star Wars character. Passing familiarity, 'met once in a cantina', within reason is okay.
Your Character's sole intent cannot be inflicting Character Death. This is not a battle game. Role-play and dealing out Consequences as defined in the RULEBOOK is expected first.
Your Character cannot be a 1) Jango Fett clone, or 2) a Force-sensitive clone, or 3) a clone from a Star Wars character.
Use ONLY Star Wars (Disney) Canon and/or GALAXY AWAITS canon for references to characters and events, never Legends/EU.
You can play GALAXY AWAITS without seeing any Star Wars, though we do recommend the film, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, as a must-see since the In-Game timeline is set 11 years after. The film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the series Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi are also highly recommended.

Choose from 75 different Species, each with special RULES and COSTUME REQUIREMENTS detailed on the SPECIES LIST.
Choose a Faction. The Empire and Rebellion requires loyal members meaning your Character must believe in the cause. The traitor concept has been overplayed in GALAXY AWAITS — the Empire and Rebellion Factions need loyalty to function properly in the game.
The Galactic Empire is the oppressive dictatorship controlling the main government of the galaxy, the Senate, with the ultimate goal of controlling all worlds. Thus, the Empire engages in all forms of planetary take-over tactics under the guise of bringing 'peace and order' to the galaxy.
Choosing the Empire Faction is choosing to play the villain and deal out consquences. Your Character will have enemies. Expect to be treated with disdain by other Characters, and expect them to actively plot against your Character. Of course, this is In-Game character vs character, and is not against you personally.
The Empire Faction is not an excuse to kill Characters on a whim. Explore other forms of consequences as defined in the RULEBOOK before permanently removing a Character from play. Character Death is best when there's an amazing story for everyone involved to tell afterward.

The Rebellion is composed of small groups of individuals actively fighting against the Empire. Not yet an Alliance as depicted in film, small rebel cells are scattered throughout the galaxy operating separately, often unbeknownst of each other.
Rebels are actively hunted by the Empire. By choosing to play a Rebel, your Character is putting themselves in danger while working to dismantle the Empire, often via covert missions and subterfuge to thwart Imperial plans. Though automatically viewed as Independent on the Holonet, expect to pay the consequences if you are discovered to be a Rebel.

Displays as Independent
The Independent Faction is a loose collection of guilds, crews, and individuals in pursuit of their own interests. There is no common goal or the expectation of working with each other; Independents operate on their own.
Known organizations like the Black Sun Guild, Bounty Hunter's Guild, Merchant Guild, the Mandalorians, and surviving Force Traditions, as well as smuggler crews, criminal networks, mercenaries, and merchants, all thrive as Independent.
Your Character may play both sides of the Empire and Rebel conflict, or stay out of it completely. Playing an Independent does not give you automatic inclusion into the Faction, however. Unless you join a Guild, there are no Leaders to contact... you are on your own. By choosing the Independent Faction, you are playing a Character that operates on their own terms. There are no Objectives, you pave your own way!

Black Sun manages criminal activity in the Outer Rim, enjoying a durable and profitable relationship with the Empire by offering mercenaries and scoundrels to do the Empire's dirty work in exchange for the freedom to carry on Underworld dealings unhindered. Not all crimes are for the Empire because truthfully, Black Sun is Independent and interested in profit for themselves.
As a member of Black Sun's Guild, you will find like-minded individuals to work with in committing various crimes around Corox Station. You choose to be a member of the Black Sun syndicate, or another syndicate, or operate as a solo individual or crew. A Chain Code is a Character's online profile, an information record in the In-Game Holonet database. When creating your Character's Chain Code, write from the perspective of someone reading a report. You don't have to fill out all the fields here, but if you do awesome! We're looking for a couple sentences or paragraphs in each text field.
Chain Code information must be REAL and TRUTHFUL about your Character. In-Game tools to create fake IDs and false Chain Codes are available after your Character is approved.
Using the Profile Photo in the sample Chain Code above as an example, include a photo of you dressed as your Character for approval. Here are the COSTUME REQUIREMENTS.
We will accept concept art of your Character as a temporary for Submission. Do not send an image of just clothing.
Staff will review your Character within seven (7) days. You will be notified when your Character is approved.
If your Character is been returned for revisions, please follow the instructions from Staff.
Once your Character is approved, you will be able to pick your Character's starting Skills and Gear. You will receive further instructions after your Character is approved.
