An Alien is a humanocentric biological - and sometimes political - term to describe a sentient species other than a Human. It is often used interchangeably with the term Non-Human. The term may have been derived from the first impression of early Humans when they had their first contacts with species from other planets.

Notable Abyssins included Myo, a patron of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley and Gor Koresh, a gangster who hunted Mandalorian coverts for their beskar armor.

Ganks were a sentient species native to a planet that was conquered by the Hutt Cartel. Members of the species usually wore high-tech battle armor from head to foot, so their physical appearance remained unknown. Under the armor, Ganks were hairy and powerful, with yellow, squarish faces and beady eyes. They sported cybernetic implants that allowed them to communicate with one another silently. Ganks were rarely seen alone as they operated in packs to accomplish their aims.

Givins were a sentient species from Yag'Dhul. They had the appearance of an animated skeleton, and were renowned for their mathematical genius. Givins were a species of white-skinned, hairless humanoids who, to human eyes, looked like animated skeletons. Mathematics were central to the Givin culture. Because of that, many of them became experts in a number of scientific fields. It was polite to address a Givin with an equation for them to answer, a custom known as greeting maths. The Givin would respond with an equation of their own. When dealing with other, less mathematically minded species, Givins would ask an equation with an answer of three for convenience.

Lasats were a humanoid sentient species native to the Wild Space planet Lira San, though the species had settled the Outer Rim world of Lasan. Those with fighting skills were highly respected, and they were often members of the Lasan High Honor Guard. Bo-rifles were a long-standing tradition in Lasat culture. They were used exclusively by the Honor Guard of Lasan. The warrior way of the Lasat was called Boosahn Keeraw. When a Lasat was bested by a superior opponent in combat, they would give them their weapon. Notable members of this species included Garazeb (Zeb) Orrelios.

Wookiees, known in their own language of Shyriiwook as "the People of the Trees," were a species of tall, hairy humanoids that were native to the planet Kashyyyk. They were quite strong, and were known to rip people's arms out of their sockets when provoked. Zabraks were a near-human carnivorous species native to the planets Iridonia and Dathomir. Most members of the species had distinctive horns atop their heads, as well as two hearts. Zeltrons were a humanoid sentient species whose skin varied in shades of red. Allegedly, the Zeltrons gave off pheromones that made people like them and had a calming effect. Zeltrons experienced amplified versions of the feelings of those around them, especially those they cared about. On their very first day of grade school, young Zeltrons were taught that they should not let themselves be led around by their emotions.
