Abyssins were a cycloptic sentient race native to Byss. Abyssins could regenerate lost limbs and could live to be three hundred years old. Notable Abyssins included Myo, a patron of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley and Gor Koresh, a gangster who hunted Mandalorian coverts for their beskar armor.

Adarians were a sentient species found in the galaxy that possessed a cranial aperture that enhanced their focus and amplified sound waves. One Adarian called Twirm served as submister in Latts Razzi's criminal syndicate and recorded events in the Smuggler's Guide.

Anomids were a sentient species that were native to Yablari. Because they lacked vocal cords, they communicated with one another through a sophisticated and subtle combination of hand and body language. For the purpose of interacting with other species, they wore concealing vocoder masks that transformed their subvocal harmonics into audible speech.

Anzati were a humanoid species that hailed from the Mid Rim Territories planet of Anzat. They were feared and hated as they fed on the life force of other sentient species. After Aurra Sing left the Jedi Order, Anzati agents trained her into a killing machine. An Anzati in robes, similar to those of a Jedi or Sith, once got hold of the Jedi Aayla Secura, but she survived.

Aqualish were a species of sentient humanoids from the planet Ando, who were identifiable by round black eyes and fur. Some members of this race possessed four eyes, while others only one pair.

Arcona were a sentient species of desert-dwelling humanoids that was native to the planet Cona that possessed a triangular shaped head. Notable Arcona include El-Les, a bounty hunter who assisted in the training of new clone troopers, and Hem Dazon, an Arcona who was stranded on Tatooine.

Ayrou were a sentient species. Kilan T'Dara — who served as chair of the advisory council for Force-related groups known as the Convocation of the Force — was an Ayrou.

Balosars are a near-human sentient species which possessed two antennapalps on the tops of their heads, but were otherwise similar in appearance to humans. They were native to the ruined world Balosar.

The Bith were a peaceful and intelligent sentient species that were native to the planet Bith. They had hairless, domed heads and black, glassy eyes that lacked eyelids and could not shed tears. Bith often found work as musicians, scientists, and engineers. Bith also had very sensitive hearing, being able to separate and isolate sounds around them. Because Bith had no noses, they smelled through special organs beneath the skin flaps on their faces.

The Cathar were a species of feline, bipedal humanoids native to Cathar, a planet of savannas and rough uplands. They were known for their loyalty, passion, and temper. Quick and powerful, they were considered great warriors and dedicated, efficient predators.

The Cereans were a species of sentient mammals hailing from the planet Cerea. They were distinguished by their enlarged conical cranium that contained a binary brain. The Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, who sat on the Jedi High Council during the waning years of the Galactic Republic, was a Cerean male.

Chagrians were an amphibious sentient species of tall, horned humanoids with blue skin that were native to the planet Champala. Chagrians were most notably recognized by their thick tentacles that curved around their shoulders, as well as two more horn-like extremities above their heads.

Defels were a sentient species with brown fur, two red eyes, sharp teeth, and two elongated ears that were pointed upwards. Defels had a good sense of smell, being able to scent at least a molecule of blood from six miles away. They could feast on sentient species, but preferred the meat liquified.

Devaronians were a sentient species from the planet Devaron. Devaronians lived under a matriarchal government on their homeworld; though males weren't prohibited from holding positions of power, few desired to do so. The biological dimorphism of the species carried over into their culture, wherein females tended to be more settled and serious minded, while males longed to wander the stars.

The Diathim, also known as the Angels as a result of spacers mistaking them for such beings, were a mysterious species of winged sentients who inhabited the moons of the planet Iego, specifically living on the largest moon, Millius Prime. Tall and beautiful, they had six wings and shining white skin. They were regarded as potentially being the most beautiful beings in the known universe.

Draedans were a species of sentient humanoids native to the aquatic planet of Sesid. They had green skin, red eyes, and sharp teeth, and were known for having large families. During Operation Yellow Moon, Leia Organa and her Rebel team made contact with the Draedan Aurelant, captain of the Daggadol—a subaquatic vessel crewed by Draedan pirates who opposed the Galactic Empire.

Dressellians were a species of sentient humanoids that were native to Dressel. They lived in peaceful isolation from any conflict until the Galactic Civil War. As a species, they were loyal to the Galactic Republic. They had hairless heads and wrinkled visages and cranium.

The Duros were a humanoid species common in the galaxy native to the planet Duro. One of the first cultures to develop hyperdrive-equipped ships, and as such, could be found all over the galaxy and were described as adventurous. After the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Duro became one of the first planets in the Core Worlds to be under Imperial control.

Despite long involvement in the Republic and the Empire, many Elomin preferred working on their own whenever possible. These xenophobic tendencies also played into their dealings with the Eloms. However, in spite of their insular societal tendencies, many individual Elomin were driven by a thirst for knowledge that took them into the wider galaxy.

Falleen were a repto-mammalian sentient species native to the planet of the same name. They were capable of projecting powerful pheromones. During the Clone Wars, the Black Sun criminal syndicate was run by a cabal of Falleen nobles, Ziton Moj, from their fortress on Mustafar.

Feeorins were a sentient species with thick tendrils hanging from the back of their heads. During the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign, a Feeorin named Warjak performed as a gladiator, holding the title of champion of the Outer Rim Carve-up.

Firrerreo were self-sufficient and independent to a fault, preferring to stay in Suspended animation aboard Hethrir's Colony ships than ask for help. Firrerreo were also incredibly race-centric, caring for their own race to the exclusion of all others. Their society was organized in clans, and members of one clan would care little for the well being of non-clan-members.

Gamorreans were a sentient species of green-skinned pig-like humanoids that hailed from the Outer Rim planet of Gamorr. They grouped themselves in clans, each of which was led by a warlord and a Clan Matron.

Gand were an insectoid sentient species native to the planet Gand. One subspecies breathed ammonia, forcing them to wear respirators to survive in oxygen-rich atmospheres. A notable member of this species was Zuckuss, a bounty hunter who was one of the first traditional findsmen to leave his homeworld.

Ganks were a sentient species native to a planet that was conquered by the Hutt Cartel. Members of the species usually wore high-tech battle armor from head to foot, so their physical appearance remained unknown. Under the armor, Ganks were hairy and powerful, with yellow, squarish faces and beady eyes. They sported cybernetic implants that allowed them to communicate with one another silently. Ganks were rarely seen alone as they operated in packs to accomplish their aims.

Givins were a sentient species from Yag'Dhul. They had the appearance of an animated skeleton, and were renowned for their mathematical genius. Givins were a species of white-skinned, hairless humanoids who, to human eyes, looked like animated skeletons. Mathematics were central to the Givin culture. Because of that, many of them became experts in a number of scientific fields. It was polite to address a Givin with an equation for them to answer, a custom known as greeting maths. The Givin would respond with an equation of their own. When dealing with other, less mathematically minded species, Givins would ask an equation with an answer of three for convenience.

Gotals were a species of tall, humanoid sentients native to the moon Antar 4. Their most distinctive features were the twin conical horns growing on the top of their heads, which acted as highly responsive electro-magnetic sensors and caused discomfort when exposed to complex electrical systems, like droids.

The Houk were a sentient, humanoid species distinguished by their muscular bulk and gradient skin hues. Owing to their powerful builds, Houk prisoners were found in large numbers in the spice mines of Kessel. Some found employment as gladiators. During the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign, Borbig Drob earned the title of champion at the Stormblade Bloodfest on nine occasions.

Iktotchi were a horned sentient species from the moon Iktotch. Jedi Master Saesee Tiin, a member of the Jedi High Council prior to and during the Clone Wars, was an Iktotchi. The Iktotchi were distinguished by the two large, curved horns protruding downwards from their heads.

The Kaleesh were a reptilian sentient species from the Wild Space world of Kalee and were formidable warriors, not known for their kindness, and typically concealed their features behind traditional war masks, frequently crafted from the skulls of fearsome beasts in their homeworld. Despite their technological inferiority, they engaged in conflicts. The most notorious member of the species is General Grievous.

Kel Dors were a sentient species native to the planet Dorin. In order to survive oxygen-rich environments, they were required to wear specialized breath masks that covered their eyes and nostrils. Kel Dor society was made of clans. The antiox masks that the Kel Dor wore were decorated with patterns that were unique to each clan. A notable Kel Dor was Jedi Master Plo Koon.

Klatooinians were a species native to the planet Klatooine in the Outer Rim Territories. Klatooinians were common throughout the galaxy. They were distinguishable through their prominent brows and visible teeth.

The Koorivar were a sentient species distinguished by their reptilian skin and large cranial horn that spiraled upwards from the center of their skull. Koorivar prided themselves on their horns, which could signify one's wealth and status.

The Kubaz were an insectoid sentient species that were native to the planet Kubindi. They lived on a diet of insects, using their long snout to snatch their prey from inside hives. On the whole, their appearance resembled that of the northern Mustafarians. Kubaz were unable to pronounce the phonemes of Galactic Basic Standard, and their language was made of whirring syllables. The Galactic Empire conquered the Kubaz species after claiming they could be allies.

Lasats were a humanoid sentient species native to the Wild Space planet Lira San, though the species had settled the Outer Rim world of Lasan. Those with fighting skills were highly respected, and they were often members of the Lasan High Honor Guard. Bo-rifles were a long-standing tradition in Lasat culture. They were used exclusively by the Honor Guard of Lasan. The warrior way of the Lasat was called Boosahn Keeraw. When a Lasat was bested by a superior opponent in combat, they would give them their weapon. Notable members of this species included Garazeb (Zeb) Orrelios.

NOTE: the Siege of Lasan does not occur until 12 AFE.

The Lepi was a sentient species characterized by looking like a "two-meter bunny", as the Lepi known as Jaxxon described himself.

The Miraluka were a near-human sentient species that existed in the galaxy around the time of the Clone Wars. They did not possess eyes. For social reasons, Miraluka concealed their lack of eyes by wearing a headband, a mask, or similar concealing headwear. In addition all Miraluka were very united by race and considered each other members of a great family. One Miraluka was Prosset Dibs who became Tenth Brother.

The Murachaun developed a common culture and quasi-religion with the other two ruling species of the Ktilac Regions, the Tocoyans and the Ktilac themselves. Each was seen as a complement to the other two, and regarded the rest of the galaxy as unholy. Murachaun found in the galaxy at large were heretics outcast from the Ktilac Regions.

Muuns were a thin, tall humanoid species who were very intelligent, known to have incredible mathematical capabilities. This was especially utilized in the management of the InterGalactic Banking Clan. They constructed their empire high amidst snowy mountain peaks.

The Nautolans were a humanoid species from the planet Glee Anselm. The Nautolans were known as a peaceful race, and disliked unnecessary violence. However, when forced to fight, they were skilled warriors. They had great respect for what they called the "ocean spirit," which they believed existed to maintain the balance of nature on Glee Anselm. Nautolan society was prosperous, and they were generous in sharing their resources with others.

Neimoidians were a humanoid species native to the planet of Neimoidia, while also settling wealthy colonies they named Purse Worlds, such as Cato Neimoidia. In the waning years of the Galactic Republic, they ran the Trade Federation, a vast consortium of business interests. As such, they ended up joining the Confederacy of Independent Systems and helped start the Clone Wars. Neimoidians were related to the Duros species.

The Nikto were a sentient species native to the planet Kintan in the Outer Rim Territories. There existed at least three Nikto subspecies, the Kajain'sa'Nikto (red Nikto), the Kadas'sa'Nikto (green Nikto), and the Esral'sa'Nikto (mountain Nikto). Many Kajain'sa'Nikto were employed by the Hutt Clan as enforcers. Some Nikto were members of the Jedi Order, such as the Kajain'sa'Nikto Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di.

The Nothoiins were a species of gold-skinned humanoids that hailed from the planet of the same name. The Nothoiin aristocrats founded the Noble Court that ruled the entire Anoat sector. By the time of the Empire, the Court-in-exile was more diverse in species, but its leader, only known as Her Majesty, was still a Nothoiin.

Omwati were a sentient species whose members had a feathers atop their heads instead of hair. Shi Shu, the second of the pirate captain Eleodie Maracavanya, was an Omwati.

Pkorians were a sentient species from Pkori, known for red skin, long fingers, two hearts, and unusually keen senses. By 22 BBY, no one in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant knew about the species, and there were no records of its home planet in the Jedi archives. One Pkorian, Iskat Akaris, was a former Jedi Knight who joined the ranks of the Inquisitorius as the Thirteenth Sister.

The Quarren, also known by the derogatory nickname "Squid Heads," were a humanoid, squid-like sentient species native to the planet Mon Cala, where they coexisted with the Mon Calamari in a peaceful, albeit tense, relationship.

Rodians were green-skinned reptilian humanoids native to the planet Rodia. Rodians greeted or showed respect to others with a salute consisting of an open-palmed hand across the chest, either with one or both arms. Greedo is a notable Rodian.

The Roonan were a sentient species that were native to Roona. The Roonan had blue or gray skin and they had a ridged forehead and cranium with large, almond-shaped blue eyes. Short in stature, they have big ideas and are notoriously easy to offend. They were known to take even the slightest slip-up as a deep insult. The Jedi Master Halsey was a member of this species.

The Saurin were a species of sentient reptiles from the planet of Durkteel, in the Mid Rim of the galaxy. They had imposing, jagged teeth, had knobby skin, and ridges along the length of their heads.

Selonians were a sentient humanoid cat-like species from the world of Selonia. They had particularly light-sensitive eyes, which meant that they were especially vulnerable to the weapons known as flashsticks, which emitted a bright flash of light to stun their target when used. Selonians were able to smell strong emotions by picking up on pheromones released by beings around them.

Sephi were a humanoid sentient species native to the planet Isobe, who boasted long life and an affinity with droids and machinery. They had long pointed ears that could twitch, swivel and flatten in accordance with the emotional state of the subject. Sephi were capable of emitting a pheromone that was capable of knocking other beings unconscious with the sensation of being close to death, an ability developed by their ancestors as protection against predators.

Shistavanen were a species of sentient fur-covered bipeds with wolflike faces, clawed paws, and glowing yellow or red eyes. Their homeworld was the planet Uvena Prime. One Shistavanen was Odabba, who worked for Garello Technologies during the High Republic Era. According to a story, the red sun rays that hit of the moon of Lupal turned the visiting Shistavanen explorer Kordus Vrak into a feral beast.

Sullustans were a species of humanoids that hailed from the planet of Sullust, and were experts at manufacturing, scientific and technological development, and economics, having founded the prosperous SoroSuub Corporation.

The Togruta were a sentient humanoid species, characterized by their colorful skin tones, large montrals, head tails, and white facial pigments. They hailed from the planet Shili, in the Expansion Region. Although Shili was their homeworld, they also had a colony of some 50,000 individuals on the planet Kiros, also in the Expansion Region. Some well known Togruta included the Jedi Master Shaak Ti, Jedi Master Jora Malli, Supreme Chancellor Kirames Kaj, and Padawan Ahsoka Tano.

Trandoshans, also called T'doshok, were large, bipedal reptilian sentient humanoids from the planet Trandosha, and were renowned as great hunters. Trandoshans relished the thrill of a hunt, and were known to embark on a hunting related rite of passage. One of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy was a Trandoshan known as Bossk, who pulled jobs for various organizations, including the Galactic Empire.

Twi'leks, sometimes referred to xenophobically as Tail-Heads or Twi's, occasionally referred to as Rylothians, were a tall near-human species whose most striking feature was a pair of long appendages protruding from their skulls, called lekku. They hailed from the planet of Ryloth, in the Outer Rim Territories, and female Twi'leks were often exported offworld as slaves. Twi'leks were considered one of the most common species in the galaxy.

The Umbarans, also known as the Shadow People, were a near-human species native to the planet of Umbara. On their gloomy homeworld of Umbara, they formed an organized society divided into castes, and they constantly schemed to improve their social rank. Their technology was more advanced than that found in most of the galaxy.

Weequays were a sentient species from the planet Sriluur common throughout the galaxy. Weequay possessed tough, leathery skin resistant to desert environments and blaster fire. Many Weequay were mercenaries, pirates, and bodyguards for the Hutt Clan. Notable Weequays included Hondo Ohnaka, who led the Ohnaka Gang, and the Jedi Sora Bulq.

Wookiees, known in their own language of Shyriiwook as "the People of the Trees," were a species of tall, hairy humanoids that were native to the planet Kashyyyk. They were quite strong, and were known to rip people's arms out of their sockets when provoked. Though being from a temperate planet known for its swamps and forests, Wookiees were perfectly comfortable on icy worlds like Ilum and Hoth, not requiring any additional protective clothing, i.e. gloves or boots. A notable member of this species was the warrior Chewbacca.

Zabraks were a near-human carnivorous species native to the planets Iridonia and Dathomir. Most members of the species had distinctive horns atop their heads, as well as two hearts. Although most Zabraks lived on Iridonia, some settled on the planet Dathomir, where the females of the species, known as Nightsisters, ruled over the Nightbrother males and practiced powerful dark side magick. Notably, female Dathomirian Zabraks lacked the cranial horns shared by the rest of the species.

Zeltrons were a humanoid sentient species whose skin varied in shades of red. Allegedly, the Zeltrons gave off pheromones that made people like them and had a calming effect. Zeltrons experienced amplified versions of the feelings of those around them, especially those they cared about. On their very first day of grade school, young Zeltrons were taught that they should not let themselves be led around by their emotions.
